- Announced 2016

Despite only receiving a minor upgrade, the D3400 remains a strong contender among beginner DSLRs in the market. With a 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor, it delivers impressive Raw performance and vibrant JPEGs. The focus motors of the kit lenses have been improved, resulting in quicker focusing in Live-View and video recording. While the AF system is dependable, its coverage is limited and it struggles to track fast-moving subjects like young kids.
