The Sony Alpha 390 is not a terrible camera, but there are numerous superior choices available which make it difficult to endorse. In the end, there have been minimal improvements compared to its previous version, rendering its specifications and performance significantly outdated. While the A390 does possess interesting features like SteadyShot INSIDE and DR+, they are insufficient to differentiate it from rival DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
